At Driftscape, we believe every place has a story worth discovering. Since our launch in 2017, we've been on a mission to make local culture, history, and attractions accessible through cutting-edge mobile technology. By connecting visitors with immersive stories and destinations, Driftscape empowers exploration and promotes vibrant, thriving communities.
Our beginning
Driftscape began with a simple yet powerful idea: connecting people to the stories behind the places they visit. Co-founder Chloe Doesburg was inspired by murmur, an audio storytelling project that predated smartphones, where people could hear fascinating tales about local landmarks.
“I love it when you can connect a story with a place you know,” Chloe shares. “It deepens your appreciation of both the story and the place. With Driftscape, we’ve made it easier to uncover these hidden gems and create meaningful connections between people and places.”
Chloe partnered with experienced mobile developer Dan Pronovost, and together they launched Driftscape as a tool to help organizations—from cultural groups and municipalities to festivals and businesses—share their unique perspectives with the world.
